Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG)
Human chorionic gonadotropin, a glycoprotein composed of noncovalently associated α and β subunits.
Products are offered exclusively for lawful laboratory research by qualified personnel. Not for human or veterinary use. Not intended for diagnosis, treatment, cure, prevention, mitigation, clinical use, food, drug, cosmetic, household, or consumer use.
Product Description
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a heterodimeric glycoprotein hormone. Its α subunit is shared with luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and thyroid-stimulating hormone; its β subunit provides hCG-specific structural features. hCG is studied as a ligand of the luteinizing hormone/choriogonadotropin receptor (LHCGR). Activity is expressed in international units (IU), rather than inferred from peptide mass.
